This is one of the longest running skateboard competitions in the country and always has high competitor numbers, amongst the highest for any skateboard competition in Australia and we are fortunate to showcase this event in our own backyard!
Competitors and spectators keep coming back each year from all corners of the country and we know that this year will be no different. We will be focusing on running a park event but if there is enough interest and sponsorship allows, we will run a bowl event as well over two days of fun and exciting skateboarding! We always attract some of the highest participation numbers for any event in the country due to the relaxed coastal vibe we have plus the huge prize pool on offer!
We cannot do this without the financial support of the local business community and the skateboard Industry, we aim to raise over $10,000 cash plus prizes. We know that this is a unique opportunity to expose your brand to a youthful and exciting audience and there are several sponsorship levels to consider. Below is a visual example of some of the best signage displays at the park although there are many others (many visible from both sides). Sponsor marquees or banners can be erected on site if arranged beforehand so ask us how we can best display and market your brand or company to our audience.
Our event is sanctioned by the Australian Skateboarding Federation (ASF), and we will attract some of Australia’s best riders to come skate and stay in the Northern Rivers. After the successful introduction of skateboarding to the Olympics and Paris 2024 fast approaching, the current crop of Australia’s top riders regularly appears on the podium at international events. So, events like ours are important for fostering the dreams of future Olympic & X-Games medallists. We always make Fair Go as much fun as possible and all skill levels are encouraged to join in and have a go because to us, that’s what Fair Go is all about!
